1960’s Simpson Sears AC/DC Solid State Radio /Phonograph Model 17907 Mid Century This is a fantastic project for the right person! Very unique and awesome little portable am radio/ record player. Works on batteries or ac The good. You get it as I found it. I have not even cleaned anything. The radio works. There is a bit of a crackle on the volume knob. The record player spins at what seems the correct speeds. The needle seems fine. The bad Needs a good cleaning and restoration. The record player spins and I can hear the faintness of the music from the needle but the sound isn’t amplifying. The radio sounds fine. There is a crack in the plastic on the corner of the cover and one of the metal clips to hold the cover down is missing. Preowned condition. Wear consistent with age and use.
